Caring & Compassionate
By Sandra Arellano, PhD(c), MA, CBPN-IC Manager of Navigation Program & Certified Breast Care Navigator
It is my pleasure to write a letter of support for Ms. Jeanine McTasney. It has been an honor to have a longstanding community partnership with Jeanine over the past decade. Not only is she a highly skilled Restorative Ink Specialist she is also an extremely caring and compassionate human being who is able to empower breast cancer patients by providing them with scarring and restoration tattooing. I have witnessed this process to be extremely healing for patients often at the end of their cancer journey.
Jeanine is a forward thinker and an avid learner; she consistently initiates innovative solutions to eliminate barriers along the continuum of care so our patients have access to skilled restoration tattooing. She is passionate about training other restoration professionals all around the country. She launched the Changing the Face of Cancer Program allowing patients to have access to restorative eyebrow and nipple-areola tattooing for chemotherapy and breast reconstruction patients. She has provided these services most often at no charge to patients. Jeanine is always the first to sign up to participant for any community outreach event that she is invited to and is repetitively willing to donate her time to assist others.
Jeanine has worked with our medical providers, clinic directors, and insurance carriers throughout the years in an effort to bring awareness to our community in support of restorative tattooing. Jeanine is a gem not only in our community but in all communities where she provides her services.
