Caring & Compassionate

Sandra Arellano, PhD(c), MA

It is my pleasure to write a letter of support for Ms. Jeanine McTasney. It has been an honor to have a longstanding community partnership with Jeanine over the past decade. Not only is she a highly skilled Restorative Ink Specialist she is also an extremely caring and compassionate human being who is able to empower breast cancer patients by providing them with scarring and restoration tattooing. I have witnessed this process to be extremely healing for patients often at the end of their cancer journey.

Jeanine is a forward thinker and an avid learner; she consistently initiates innovative solutions to eliminate barriers along the continuum of care so our patients have access to skilled restoration tattooing. She is passionate about training other restoration professionals all around the country. She launched the Changing the Face of Cancer Program allowing patients to have access to restorative eyebrow and nipple-areola tattooing for chemotherapy and breast reconstruction patients. She has provided these services most often at no charge to patients. Jeanine is always the first to sign up to participant for any community outreach event that she is invited to and is repetitively willing to donate her time to assist others.

Jeanine has worked with our medical providers, clinic directors, and insurance carriers throughout the years in an effort to bring awareness to our community in support of restorative tattooing. Jeanine is a gem not only in our community but in all communities where she provides her services.

I have had the privilege to take fundamental training from Jeanine McTasney. It was a great program, and I was an independent practitioner quickly. I then came back and took her areola training course. This course was online and when the kit arrived, I was so excited I started immediately. From that course I learned a tremendous amount and was able to secure a great referral source from our local breast cancer center.

Her support from the day I met her has never changed and that is well over 5 years. She is a dedicated professional who believes that her students are not her competition and that the patients are stars.

Cosmetic Tattoo by Jeanine McTasney - Eyebrows

I am so glad I reached out to Jeanine McTasney for her cosmetic tattooing expertise. Her talent and experience is beyond amazing. The minute she started the procedure I was calm and felt fortunate I chose her.

I am still caught off guard when I see my reflection and realize my natural looking makeup is permanent. On a scale of 10, Jeanine rates a 12.

Skilled Artistry

Jeanine McTasney has an extraordinary ability to create what was lost due to breast cancer. Her skilled artistry has made me feel whole and complete again. Having lost both breasts to cancer, her nipple and areola tattooing has made me feel beautiful and comfortable with my body again. While I have a plastic surgeon who is a perfectionist and reconstructed breasts for me again, something felt missing when looking at my naked body in a mirror. Jeanine has visually replaced what was missing.

I recently had surgery and the three nurses prepping me were totally amazed at how perfect my tattoos looked – they didn’t even realize for a couple of minutes that my nipples and areolas weren’t the ones I was born with, Jeanine’s skilled artistry is only outweighed by her compassion for her patients.

Commitment to Excellence

Jeanine McTasney is one of the best, if not the best, nipple/areola tattoo reconstruction artist in the country! I am a medical doctor who has been in practice for 28 years. I have seen her personally evaluate breast cancer survivors who are at various stages of their cancer journey. They may be new to the cancer survivor community and may be fearful of yet another procedure or may have long ago survived any treatment required of them to beat their cancer. Jeanine is authentic, and she takes the time to know the person and understands their fears.

She truly goes beyond what is required. In addition, her work is absolutely a piece of art. In comparing other tattoo artists to her, there is not contest. Without a doubt, Jeanine is the best. This commitment to excellence and her persona is found in only a hand full of people that you meet in your lifetime.

I am also lucky to have met her because I became one of her permanent makeup and breast tattoo students. If you are looking to learn how to do these procedures, look no further because Jeanine McTasney is the instructor you are looking for.

I would like to endorse and highly recommend Jeanine for her excellent work in caring for cancer patients who can benefit from and NEED tattoo services. I’ve worked with her for the past 6 years as both a medical provider and a breast cancer survivor who needed and continues to benefit from her services. She is passionate about her work and about promoting her work so she can reach anyone in need.

She has even volunteered her services for specific patients under my care who required various types of tattooing. In particular, a woman facing breast cancer which causes various changes in body image can benefit from eyebrow tattooing prior to starting chemotherapy. This helps them maintain some sense of “normalcy” during such a traumatic time.

She is a dedicated artist. I have seen and received “ink administration” from others and they DO NOT compare to her!

She constantly strives to improve upon her results and truly cares about providing outstanding patient service. Jeanine is a very talented artist and I have found it very impressive to watch the quality of her results only continue to improve as she evolves her techniques. I believe that her results equal or exceed those that I have seen by other extremely talented and highly respected artists throughout the country.

A True Artist

Dr. Raman Mahabir

As a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with over 16 years of experience in practice, I have done well over 1,000 breast reconstructions and worked in both large academic centers and now in private practice. Jeanine McTasney’s nipple areolar tattoo reconstructions are without a doubt the best I have ever seen.

Technically she is gifted: a true artist. When you look over the gallery of her work, I am confident you will agree. Its amazing! What you don’t see, and what truly matters is the way she helps women close the chapter on this part of their lives. Jeanine’s work is the final step in the breast restoration journey. And she understands what a privilege that is. From the first contact to the final embrace, Jeanine is changing women’s lives. She connects with patients in a unique and individualized way. It seems like she can “sense” what each woman needs at her particular point in the journey. Physically, emotionally and even spiritually, she is helping them restore to whole.

I am so grateful the universe has connected us. Surgically I do everything I can to help women through their breast reconstruction journey. With Jeanine and Restorative Ink Specialists, I know that my patients will have the out-and-out best possible outcome.

I have had the pleasure of working with Restorative Ink Specialists Founder, Jeanine McTasney for 3 years in my plastic surgery practice. Jeanine brings extraordinary skill and talent to the breast reconstruction industry. Her nipple areola tattoo work is truly beautiful and is among the best in the nation. On a personal level, she is genuine, compassionate, and empathic to her patients’ needs, with a strong desire to help women heal and shift into an empowered state following breast reconstruction. I have seen patent after patient transform into a healed woman after receiving a realistic 3D areola tattoo as the final step in her breast reconstruction journey. Jeanine is also uniquely tuned into patients who have struggled with multiple breast revision surgeries and heavy scarring, and has developed innovative ways to camouflage such scarring with her tattoo work.

Another wonderful service that Jeanine has provided our breast cancer patients is eyebrow and eyelash restoration following chemotherapy. Many of the psychological side effects and stigma of chemotherapy induced hair loss can be minimized by performing permanent makeup tattooing of the brows and eyelashes. Jeanine uses her artistry to create natural and realistic eyebrow and eyelash restoration, which has helped many women feel beautiful and whole again when they look in the mirror.

Jeanine is a leader in her field and inspires hope and joy among breast cancer survivors day after day. She has been a gem to our practice, we are so grateful and privileged to be able to share her amazing talent with our patients!
